Question about Braxton HIcks and False labour....?

Last Tuesday I had 4 hours of Braxton HIcks, last night I had 5 hours of braxton hicks each time pain was there (although not excutiating) last night they were more intence and went on for longer I also got all shivery and felt hot and cold, is this normal for braxton hicks? could this mean something? I also have been feeling slightly odd today really slight twinges and slight slight ache in back............ I want it over with now (Im 39 weeks 3 days)Question about Braxton HIcks and False labour....?
If your Braxton Hicks are getting painful then you are most likely getting dehydrated. You need to be drinking AT LEAST 64 ounces of water per day. With the Braxton Hicks you can drink even more water. The hot flashes are also an indication that you need more fluids.

Increase your fluids, eat something light, take a warm (not hot) shower or bath, and then take a nap. All of these should help you relax and allow you some much needed rest.

Birth blessings to you.Question about Braxton HIcks and False labour....?
I wouldn't jump straight to the conclusion that it's labor. Labor is not supposed to stop or ease off after a while. It is supposed to be constant and continue to increase in intensity. The fact that you had these contractions a week ago and for a few hours at a time and then last night tells me that you might be experiencing annoying braxton hicks but you really should tell your doctor and get checked out!

Plus the new aches and twinges may mean that labor is starting now, though it wasn't a week ago. If you're still having contractions consistently, call your doctor!
yep braxton hicks can be painful - mine are and i have constant back ache but ive had back ache for 2 weeks now and i have had on and off braxton hicks for about 4 days and im still pregnant! you know theyre braxton hicks and not real labour if they come and go and arnt constant

its only if they never go away, never ease and continually get closer together and worse and worse are they real contractions x
sounds like pre-labor. those contractions are getting you ready, they are doing work too, it could be any day now. some women get to 4-5 cm with pre-labor alone. maybe it just meens you'll have less work when actual labor starts :) good luck
Everyone feels Braxton Hicks to different extents - mine were just like period cramps and lasted maybe an hour each time.

Yours sound quite extensive so I would ring your Doctor or midwife just to let them know what is happeneing.

Good Luck with the baby xx
Braxton Hicks arent supposed to hurt. Sounds like you maybe getting close to going into labor.
Honey, you are probably in labor if you're at 39 weeks! If you haven't already, call your doctor and time the pains if you can.
Your in labour.
