When Rizzo says she pregant to marty says not to tell anyone and Kenickie finds out and rizzo says to him 'don't worry about it Kenickie it was someone else's mistake.'


But later at the carnvial she says to him she's not pregnant.


Did she cheat on him or she was lying to him about a flase

This is purely opinion because the movie never really went into depth about that. Rizzo loved Kenickie. Why would she cheat? Plus, were they really monotonous? I think that it was more of an ';understanding';. If you really listen to the song sung by Rizzo, ';There Are Worse Things I Could Do'; you would really have to agree that she doesn't feel that it would be right to lie to someone about something so serious. In the song she basically says that ';yeah, I may put on a strong front but, really, I'm just a pussycat';. I think that she was just her friend Marty and didn't expect it to get back to Kenickie. You do tell friends important stuff, in your life, right? She's not too strong for something like that. She's a good girl with a hard veneer, that's all. I would say that she probably thought she was pregnant cuz she was late for her period,as for cheating on him I don't think so,to tell him that it was someone else's mistake probably she told him that cuz of his lifestyle knowing he would never have taken care of the baby anyway(deadbeat dad).
I don't think she wanted Kenickie to know until she knew for sure.Maybe she thought it was her mistake that she thought she was pregnant in the first place. Good catch, I would have never caught that.
Rizzo really loved Kenickie and didn't want him to think she was out to trap him. so she let him think otherwise. and since it was false they just blew it off....
She had slept w/someone else while her and Kenickie were separated. She thought she was pregnant but wasn't, but didn't lie about it. She never said her pregnancy was official when she told Marty.
when Rizzo said';don't worry'; she was being sarcastic. She knew all the time that if she really got pregnant, it wud their baby together- something she wasn't going to be too pleased about.
Obviously the movie leaves the answer to that question to everyone's imagination...so rather than ruminate, I chose to say I don't know...sorry =(
My guess is she thought she was pregnant because she missed her period. But sometime between the Drive-In and the Festival she got her period again. So it was a mistake and she was not pregnant(I'm guessing the movie doesn't want to get too philosophical about it. Besides, they saved themselves another song.).
back then before EPT test - a girl ';knew'; she was pregnant if didn't have her period - a missed period can be caused by many things....stress, hormonal changes etc.


Rizzo isn't the kind of girl who wants a guy to marry her because he got her pregnant. She's tough, Rizzo wants her guy to marry her because he really loves her - she doesn't want to be a millstone around his neck.
i always thought it meant that it was her mistake for letting it happen

She said that to make sure if he really loved her. In the original version, it shows a scene in which this is shown. They Should have left it in, It would have created less confusion!
She obviously had her period, therefore cant be pregnant.
