Question for Athiest/Agnostics. If the Bible is false, who wrote it and why?

I'm an Agnostic but was just wondering what u thought. A lot of people say the Bible is false and there's no God. If this is true then who wrote it and why was it written?Question for Athiest/Agnostics. If the Bible is false, who wrote it and why?
All the religious scriptures are written by men. In early times when masses were not educated, a small number of people in power designed these scriptures and gain supremacy on others. Since humans are rational, no logic's would make him accept such things so an entity of GOD was created and so much drama was built into this that everyone should accept it without questioning it. Absolute surrender!

a whole lot of people benefited from this who claimed that they are messengers of God.Question for Athiest/Agnostics. If the Bible is false, who wrote it and why?
It was written by men. I don't know their names, but they're written down somewhere. It was written as a guideline for living in a non-hunter/gatherer society.

It's just a set of rules and fables that illustrate those rules. And what are rules without consequences for breaking them?
if a person is Atheist /Agnostic why he minds in Bible's author or when it was written or for what.only a person who believe in God he/she may undertake that job.
Who wrote ';Dracula';, ';Frankenstein';, or ';The Da Vinci Code';? Writers. Authors. People with things to say, observations to convey, stories with morals... Each ';gospel'; of the bible is like the re-write of an original movie: the ';remake'; of ';The Omen';, ';Texas Chainsaw Massacre';, et al.

They're just stories and fables created as tools and guidelines for the people of the time of its writing. Contemporary people take it FAR too literally.
Never forget this: If the Bible is false, how has it endured for close to 6,000 years. That's a long time to be on the best-seller list. It still is on that list, by the way.
I think if Jesus wanted a book written about his life and teachings(and he knew it would be read and followed by billions of people for the next 2000 years), he would have written it himself. I dont think he asked the people who wrote the Bible to write it. The falseness of it is, that the people who wrote the Bible wrote it from what they understood about Jesus' teachings, and much of what was written was probably mis-interpreted by the authors, which is why it is contradictory in many places.
The Bible is a collection of books written and redacted repeatedly by an unknown but presumed large number of authors and editors over the course of about 900 years.

The first 5 books were written as a form of political propaganda when Judea was trying to make a case for former Israelites to pledge allegience to Judea after the fall of Israel. In those days, religion and politics were the same thing. It worked so well that people kept adding to it.
Men wrote it. Even if there is a god, etc, men still wrote it. They wrote it because they believed it was true and wanted to pass on their beliefs to others.
Back in the day, people were extra scummy and some guys got together and decided to lay down the law.
obviously men wrote it. Even the bible states that no man is without sin/faults, yet so many people believe this book, written and translated by men.... is perfect.

Talking snakes, flat earth, virginal birth etc.....all nonsense.
I believe that you have to put yourself back in the times when it was written. Life was hard - loved ones died mysteriously from diseases, freaky weather, all sorts of causes that weren't understood back then. Nothing really made sense; you needed an explanation for the pain in your life, and you needed some hope to console you. The Bible provided the answers that you couldn't get from any other source. Now we know why a lot of things happen, so there's less of a need for it. But if you've been to a lot of funerals, you see that faith can provide a tremendous consolation to people, as well as having like-minded people around you for support.

I'm strictly a non-believer by the way, but I appreciate this aspect of the Bible and faith.
well, for one, the bible was written by MEN. not god. and the first thing it teaches is that man is flawed. so, by definition, the bible should be riddled with flaws. and i really think that it is. but, regardless of what religion you are, i do feel all holy texts are pretty good guides to getting through life ok.
Maybe someone wrote to see if someone would actually think it was true.
